Martial arts series illustration

Jin Yong's martial arts novels are known as "the common language of Chinese people all over the world". As a fan, I have read all his works and watched adapted ones. Some excellent ones permeate the imagination of the creators and their unique views on martial arts. Like them, I took the classical plots of novels as creative inspirations.
By reading the original description I built specific scenarios in mind, and then repeatedly refined picture layouts, viewing angles, character images and actions as well as the placement of each object, trying to maximize my style in the original framework. To be different from existing illustrations, I chose a special perspective--imagining myself as a role in the scene to observe the other characters and scenery, to enhance the sense of participation and presence. Each work in this series corresponds to a different plot in Jin’s martial arts novels. Through limited pictures, I tell a rich story from my unique martial arts world.
